Adult Education

The Foundation sponsors the Library’s popular literature classes. These are eight-week seminars that bring adult learners together to study particular authors or genres, often by focusing on an open question. In one session Professor John Ehrstine explored detective fiction written by women, and asked, “Why are women so good at detective fiction?” If you enjoy the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, you may wish to sign up for Professor Ehrstine’s Shakespeare class in the spring in which he explores the plays of the upcoming season. It also sponsors special classes such as calligraphy.
